Responsibilities & Role Overview

As a Trader – Vietnam, you will play a key role in driving Minerva’s commercial growth across Vietnam and the Southeast Asia region. This position is responsible for managing trading operations, developing strategic customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities in a dynamic and competitive market.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing sales and trading strategies aligned with revenue and profitability targets
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities across Vietnam and Southeast Asia
  • Negotiating purchase and sales contracts while effectively managing commercial risks
  • Managing and growing relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and long-term partnerships
  • Monitoring market trends, pricing, and supply-demand dynamics to support strategic decision-making
  • Providing accurate sales forecasts, market insights, and performance analysis to leadership
  • Ensuring proper execution of commercial operations in coordination with logistics, supply chain, and origin teams
  • Maintaining strong product knowledge and ensuring compliance with international trade and local regulations
  • Representing the company in client meetings, trade shows, and industry events

We are looking for professionals with proven experience in trading or sales roles, preferably within the food or meat industry, and with strong exposure to international markets, ideally in Asia or emerging markets.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Economics, or related fields
  • Years of experience in trading, sales, or commercial roles
  • Previous experience in international markets (Asia experience is a strong plus)
  • MBA or postgraduate studies in Business or International Trade (preferred)

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong knowledge of international trading practices and supply chain dynamics
  • Experience with pricing strategies, contract negotiation, and risk management
  • Ability to analyze market data and develop accurate forecasts
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations and compliance standards

Soft Skills

  • Strong commercial mindset and results-driven approach
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of accountability
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Adaptability to multicultural and fast-paced environments

Differentials

  • Experience in the meat or food industry
  • Existing network in Southeast Asia markets
  • Additional languages (Vietnamese is a plus; English is required)
